Files are kept in a protected folder that cannot be opened directly from the web — they are only served through your unique link, which is long, random and practically impossible to guess. You can also make the link expire after a day, a week or a month. Files are not end-to-end encrypted, so for highly sensitive documents put them in a password-protected ZIP before uploading.
